Stacy D. Shelton is author of ME, THE CRAZY WOMAN AND BREAST CANCER: Strength and Inspiration for the Patient, Survivor, and Those who Love Them.

Stacy had to face every woman’s worst nightmare when she was diagnosed, not once, but twice, with breast cancer. To make matters worse, a new presence, which she dubbed “Crazy Woman,” took up residence in her brain, wreaking havoc and forcing her to face her mortality.

By walking herself through her own death and conquering additional obstacles that sometimes seemed too much to survive, she discovered an enlightened sense of purpose and a newfound way of living, free from fear.Stacy now speaks with groups about accomplishing their life’s purpose without the obstacle of fear, which holds most of us back.

Shelton is a former award-winning broadcast and print journalist. She now speaks publicly about her journey through cancer and the life lessons that remained. She also counsels families, patients, and survivors on dealing with life-threatening diseases. She is a CASA and a BRIDGES volunteer.

She lives in Oklahoma with her husband, Doug; daughter, Brealyn; and their dogs, Max and Teddy.
