Magnetic Content

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Magnetic content is perhaps the most important part of making money online and creating a local celebrity profile. This is because your content can make or break your business. The better it is, the more money you will make.

So what is magnetic marketing?

Basically, it just means having content that attracts visitors. The content on many sites is simply low quality. If you are just a me-too site, you probably will not attract many people to your site.

So how do you write compelling content?

One of the first methods is to look at the content already out there about your topic. Try to find authority sites, such as Ezinearticles, Wikipedia, or popular forums. They are the most likely to have a lot of content about your subject.

Then take note of the main points being discussed. This will give you an idea of what to write about.

Pay particular attention to the questions being asked. For instance, in golf forums a lot of people might be asking how to hit the ball farther. If that’s the case, than you would probably want to give a solution to this problem.

Another idea is to read sales letters related to your topic, and see the main benefits being emphasized. This is how to know what to write about.

How do you find the answers to the questions?

Obviously you can locate them online. However, if you can tell a story about how you overcame the problem yourself, people are going to trust you more. This is why you might want to pick a topic you have knowledge of.

Telling your story gives you credibility.

Telling a personal story related to the product is always a great credibility booster. It means people can relate to you and they will feel that you know exactly what they are going through.

How should you answer the question?

In a simple and systematic way. Don’t overload them with information, and don’t just include random, disjointed tips. Instead, provide the answer in a step by step format to make it easy to follow.

Remember, the money you make is in direct proportion to the number of people you help. And the best way to help people is to first identify their problems, and then provide a clear solution.

This is what will attract people to your site.

It will also cause them to refer their friends to your site, which will make your content viral. And if your writing is really good, other webmasters will likely post your content on their site. This will give you some added referral traffic.

The bottom line is, the quality of your content will make or break your online business. If you identify the needs of your market and meet them, you will get more visitors and make more money.

What Is A Press Release

Posted by: | Comments (0)

A Press Release is a written article explaining to the media of a certain event, product, or service being newsworthy. Press Releases can be used to announce all sorts of important and media attracting content, and many people today are using press releases to announce everything that’s about to happen in their online or offline business. Using these can be extremely helpful for promoting nearly anything, and it can be extremely helpful to have some instant advertisement when using Press Releases.

The benefits of using a Press Release

One of the main benefits is the simple fact that you can easily and quickly grab the media’s attention. Whether you’re trying to get your local business or television show announced, you can easily grab their attention through a Press Release. Press releases are also very easy to write, especially if you know everything that you’d like to get announced, so you’ll find this to be quite an easy task when promoting something that you’re knowledgeable about.

Is a Press Releases needed?

A Press Release is definitely worth using because of the fact that they can help you achieve the real attention that you need from the media. If you were to be writing an ordinary article for an article directory, very few people of a high level like from the media will ever read what you wrote. With a Press Release, they are released on a website where other newsworthy information pops up. Thus, everybody who visits that site will expect only newsworthy related topics. Even if something you plan to announce isn’t news related like a tragic accident, you can still make them sound or look like it’s newsworthy with the way that you write.

Are Press Releases hard to write?

Press Releases are never difficult to write. You may need to write of a certain nature in order for it to sound really newsworthy, but if you already have an ordinary gift at writing, you will find it to be quite an easy task. The only two things you really need are basic writing skills and a good amount of knowledge of the event, product, or service being announced. A good tip is to read other Press Releases on the same topic as your future release, and then create your Press Release slightly resembling that certain style to make it sound professional.

Press Releases are one of the best ways to get your product, news, and basically anything to be read by people who are in need of a good amount of news. Plenty of people from the media are always on press release websites, so you’ll get to grab their attention very well. They can be written in all sorts of styles, but nothing is wrong with really trying to go for the technical style of writing to make it seem more professional. With Press Releases, you can easily get the attention you need quicker and faster, and without having to pay huge amounts of money for people to learn about what you have to offer.

The Big Bang Publicity Campaign

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Famous is as famous does and the famous get known through publicity. Yes, that’s right, fame doesn’t discover you, you create it through strategic campaigning. What’s more, the techniques for increasing your exposure are not as difficult to attain as you might think. A great publicity campaign starts with courage, then planning, and lastly, it succeeds through persistence. If you’re not sure why you should seek fame, consider fortune because the two go hand in hand.

Fame will bring your business into the forefront of your target audience faster than any advertising campaign can hope to do. It solidifies you as an expert and creates a deep, abiding confidence in the consumer. It makes you a shining star with infinite possibilities. So what are the steps you ask? Well paste a gold star to your forehead and let’s get started.

1. Press Releases:
Increase awareness through a press release. Yes, I know, press releases have become quite the popular little tool around cyberspace with releases being blasted hither and there, but are they working? Probably not. Blasting your press release will bring blasted little results. Instead, thoughtfully put together a very dynamic one-page press release and target publications that would be most interested in you and your business. Don’t drone out the details; make that press release sing your praises. Then send it to a real live editor and follow up with a phone call. In other words, let the press release be the invitation to your follow up phone call. Begin making connections with the media. Be polite, be excited, and be patient.

2. Create A Press Kit:
A Press kit is basically an exaggerated press release turned into a package. It’s more complex, tells more about you and your company, and is all pulled together into a nice neat folder. Of all the questions I receive, first is, what is a press kit? Simply, it is a folder of information about you or your business. It should contain:

A. An Introduction Letter
B. One or Two Press Releases
C. A Fact Sheet
(This contains the facts about you or your business.)
D. Bio Sheet
(Which is a biography of you and your accomplishments.)
E. Copies of Published Articles
F. Company Literature
G. A Business Card

Send your press kit when an editor, publisher, or producer wants to know more about you.

3. Newsletters Offline.
Don’t forget that a whole world exists offline. Locate newsletters or smaller print publications offline and submit articles. This can be a very dynamic way to increase your exposure as well as add to your press kit. You can locate newsletters in your subject area by visiting the local university library reference section. Ask for a directory of trade newsletters and do your research. Once you have been published, it’s easier to step up to the larger publications. Fame starts small and then snowballs onto itself.

4. Speak Up!
Yep, that’s right. Start giving speeches on your area of expertise. Start locally at civic clubs and local educational programs. Then find the local talk radio shows and make your case to the producer. It’s surprising how many talk radio shows are actively looking for new speakers. Once you have achieved Talk Radio, the opportunities will start coming to you.

5. Publicity Pitches:
Put together several dynamic article ideas. Just the ideas, not the actual article. This is called a Publicity Pitch. Take those ideas and then pitch them to editors of targeted publications. This can work very well as it saves Editors time and puts the outline right into their hands. As a past Editor I know how well this works. Editors love ideas, especially ideas that are completely outlined and correct for their readership. This means don’t send pet article ideas to cooking magazines. Send pet articles ideas to pet publications. Seems like a no brainer, huh? But you’d be amazed at what editors see that don’t apply to their own publication.

Fame comes from planning and persistence. It has its rejections, but if you can learn not to take it personally, it will eventually work. Remember, once you start, keep going. Once you stop, you have to start all over.

Fundraising Publicity Tips

Posted by: | Comments (0)

The success of your fundraiser depends on how much publicity your group can attract. Community awareness of your fundraising need and your fundraising offering will always increase your results.

Here are some fundraising publicity tips:

Publicity Tip #1 – Use your website
If you don’t have one, get one. Use it to communicate your goals, thank your sponsors, highlight periodic offerings, recognize successes, honor individual contributors, etc.

Promote your web site on all your materials.

Publicity Tip #2 – Actively seek more publicity
Get the word out about your fundraiser in as many ways as possible. Get into as many neighborhood newsletters and other public forms of communication as you can.

Send out press releases to the local media and invite coverage with photo opps at your fun events.

Publicity Tip #3 – Utilize any gathering
Make announcements at other events to spread the word, display products, take orders, make sales, and recruit volunteers.

Take a joint venture approach to marketing your group by giving something of value back to all those who join your team.

Publicity Tip #4 – Goal awareness
Heavily promote the goal of your fundraiser in all communications, particularly between sellers and buyers. A good cause gets the money out.

Make sure that all participants know the specific reason why the money is being raised.

Publicity Tip #5 – Communication
Use all available means of increasing awareness of your group’s efforts including roadside signs, e-mail lists, phone calling tree, newsletter, flyers, posters, bulletin boards, recorded hotline messages, etc.

Publicity Tip #6 – Sponsorship decals
Offer these free to supporting merchants. Sell to membership level supporters. Use the glass stick-on type for storefronts or vehicle windows.

This “branding” gets the word out to the community that your organization has a strong support base.

Publicity Tip #7 – Bumper stickers
Sell your organization year round with every fundraiser by offering one that says “Proud Supporter of _____.” Give one to every volunteer and group member.

Publicity Tip #8 – Flyers everywhere
Hit local mailboxes (follow postal regulations) and car windshields in shopping centers. Give fundraiser details in your flyer in a way that promotes sales and gives contact information.

Put a coupon or free gift offer into the flyer that will keep it from being thrown away. Your merchant base will help provide the offers because this is free advertising for them.

For example, a flyer including a car wash, dry cleaners, or oil change coupon. (Or even all three!)

Publicity Tip #9 – Build an e-mail list
Ask for an e-mail address for a newsletter distribution when you’re fundraising. Have opt-in links on your web site.

Build an online community of supporters by offering them extras available only at your site.

Put your fundraising publicity plan in place today. You’ll reap the benefits in continued growth and additional fundraising success for years to come.

Publicity And Marketing The Perfect Niche For Local Marketing Consultant

We all realize how Business Coaches have revolutionized the way we work today. Most businesses now count on the support from their Business and Marketing Coach the same as they used to count on their secretaries, only so much more. Business and Marketing coaches are a prized and respected part of their clients team, and unlike secretaries, who often were taken for granted, Virtual Assistants are praised for their professionalism and skills. Most businesses today can not imagine where they would be without their VA. And as the potential for success in a virtual assistant business continues to explode, so does the need for good Virtual Assistants.

Today’s Virtual Assistants need to take pride in their business and also to learn as much as they can about their niche, which is the specialty they have chosen to specialize in. One niche that I highly recommend is to offer publicity and marketing services to clients. This is an area that is growing in leaps and bounds as more and more authors, businesses, and other professionals realize the need to market their business to get good publicity. A business can expand tremendously when hiring a Virtual Assistant to help them spread the word about their products or services. Also, authors today aren’t aware that once they write a book, that’s when the real work begins. They need to get the word out about their book in order for it to be successful. That’s where a good Publicity VA comes in.

Publicity and marketing is thrilling to say the least. There’s such a great rush when your client gets recognized in national magazines, or a TV station wants to do a segment on them and you helped them achieve this success. Or better yet, when your efforts start resulting in substantial increased sales for them. Clients will not only keep using your services, but also tell others about this new positive addition they have to their business. And best yet, you too get to feel that satisfaction as you are helping them achieve their goals.

One of my most successful tips is learning how to effectively use any publicity that a client receives. When clients get national attention in a magazine, newspaper, or TV Segment, or even on a popular website, its important to make sure that everyone is aware of this. A press release should immediately go out to announce their accomplishment. This release should be added to their website and also should go to all their local papers, radio stations, and TV networks. Media loves to highlight a success story of their locals, so make sure you get this out there as soon as you can. And you don’t have to wait for the publicity to happen. If your client lands a major TV segment, you can start sending this press out beforehand in order to get more media for when the event happens. You just want to make sure that the client is fairly confident the segment will air. Also, don’t worry if the segment gets bumped back, that often happens as breaking news takes priority. This can almost be a blessing, as then you get to do more publicity before the air date.

Its also important to follow-up with the reporters and let them know how much you appreciate the acceptance of your quotes for an article. When you go the extra step to show them your appreciation, they remember you when the next article comes up and they need help with more expert advice. Many reporters work for multiple magazines so one good ally can lead to lots of media exposure. Always keep your PR hat on. Learn to take any situation and turn it into good press for your clients and your business as well. Stay on top of current events and see if you have anything to offer. Whenever a story hits the press that any of my clients would have a connection to, Ill send it right away. Having press releases already prepared for clients on their business is always a great help. How do you know about these events? Sign up for Google Alerts under the topics of interest and then whenever a story is written, you can follow-up with your press release or article to the reporter. It works! I also use ProfNet from PRNewswire, which allows me to get daily leads from major news outlets. You can also consider PRLeads.

Its also important to learn how to write a good press release and article and also where to send those. Make sure that your press releases and articles are newsworthy and also something that interests the readers. When I write a release, I always think would I read this release? Would it interest me? If not, I doubt your target audience would be reading it either. Plus, be careful to sound too promotional. You can easily get your message across without sounding like an ad.
